Cottage Tuna Melt

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can (6 oz.) tuna, drained
  • 1/2 cup Darigold cottage cheese
  • 2 tbs. chopped green onion
  • 1 Tbs. chopped pickles
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 4 slices whole wheat bread

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine tuna, cottage cheese, onion and pickles; mix to blend. Divide and spread tuna mixture over 2 slices of bread; top each with a slice of cheese and remaining bread. Heat non-stick skillet over medium-high heat; melt butter in skillet. Add sandwich and cook 2 minutes until underside is lightly browned; turn to brown other side. Repeat with remaining sandwiches. Serve hot.
